Message From the President - March 2024

Do You Prefer Your Learning Content Curated or A La Carte?

We all have preferences and sometimes your choice depends on how much time you have to invest in researching options vs. asking for recommendations. I can recommend PMIW’s Symposium on May 4, which has a curated list of quality speakers on the topic of Elevating Project Management Skills through Generative AI and Leadership Excellence.

We know that AI is here to stay, and Project Managers should be delighted. AI tools can handle the many repetitive tasks of our jobs (tracking milestones, updating status reports and project plans, and scheduling meetings, to name a few) giving us more time to focus on risk management, communication, and team leadership.

So, join us on May 4 at the Westchester Marriott for networking, enlightening presentations and stimulating discussion. Watch for details and registration information.

Your Chapter is also helping you find your own menu of educational events by partnering with the International Institute of Learning’s Advantage Program! You can access IIL’s range of online lectures and classes, many of which are ‘on demand’ and therefore easy on your schedule. As a PMIW you are eligible for at least a $15 discount, and often more, on IIL’s offerings by using our partner website
https://iil.com/pmiw and the discount code PMIW.

Look for information on the Leadership and Innovation series in PMIW e-mails and on our website.
