PMI is nearing completion of the updated PMBOK, which will describe the role of a project manager, in part, as analyzing the needs of a project and determining which blend of project tools is appropriate to assuring success. The time is now to prepare for this key development in our project management profession.
Your PMIW Board has been working to bring you information and training to succeed in this new world. The theme of our Symposium on April 24 is ‘Being Agile and Managing Change.’ The goal is to present a complete overview of the Agile approach and provide specific information to help you chart your own path to acquire skills and tools to use in this new environment.
The keynote speaker, April Callis-Birchmeier, will describe how to align leaders and stakeholders with the tools and processes to develop agile competency which leads to project success. In her closing remarks, April will demonstrate a 90 day practical plan for you to integrate new information and tools into your work.

An explanation of the Disciplined Agile toolkit, and how to assess it, is part of Jonathan Lee’s presentation. He will explain the different Disciplined Agile certifications so you can plan for your own professional needs. And, he will address how you can help your organization stay competitive using agile techniques.
Roger Wolkoff delivers stories to give you ideas and keys to unlock strengths which are already inside you. Focusing on loyalty and appreciation will have a positive influence on your life. Roger will outline strategies to manage and improve your work relationships.
