Greetings, colleagues! I hope you are well and managing the new environment we find ourselves in. I am pleased to say that aside from in-person networking, your Chapter has returned to full functionality, using technology and virtual tools to support you with our programs and services. It has been a learning experience, during which we discovered inefficiencies in several of our processes and incompatibilities in our business infrastructure. We have initiated a review of our technology platform with the intention of documenting requirements to support our programs and services in a more robust and efficient manner. I am turning to you to ask for your participation – we need help in documenting our business requirements and identifying software and applications as solutions. Please let me know if you can help us in this effort.
We have a terrific lineup of Programs for October. If you have signed up for the Symposium on October 3 you will be hearing valuable advice that will help you advance your career. At our monthly Chapter meeting on October 13 Jeff Harmon will present on the topic of transforming yourself into an inspirational leader. We will be holding Community of Practice breakout rooms after Jeff’s presentation, and we will open a separate breakout room to discuss our plans for opening a Toastmasters Club at PMIW. At this time a PMIW Toastmasters Club would meet virtually. Be sure to join this breakout room meeting after our Chapter meeting on October 13 to learn about this opportunity to earn PDUs.
At the October 21 Lunch and Learn, Ruth Anne Guerrero will talk about the Project Manager as Change Manager. Ruth Anne was our presenter for our monthly meeting this past March. And member Ray Francis will lead the discussion at the Breakfast Round Table on October 27.
Please remember to register for this month’s programs, either from the announcement email or PMIWestchester.org.
