While the weather cannot make up its mind if it should still be summer or the start of autumn, PMI Westchester knows exactly what our forecast will be this month. We are back at Manhattanville College for our monthly Chapter meeting. If you did not have the chance to experience the beautiful setting of Reid Castle, you will this month. We have a live workshop entitled “The Memory Switch”, developed and presented by Matthew Goerke, one of America’s leading experts in the field of Memory Development. He will instruct you in the new advances in memory technology, as well as help you gain insight into how these methods are in direct alignment with helping you achieve both business and personal goals.
Also starting this month is our PMP Exam Preparation class with David Kabat at The College of Westchester in White Plains, NY. These five 7-hour sessions are held on Saturdays starting October 14th through November 18th (excluding November 11th). The classes are focused on understanding the material in the PMBOK in order for you to sit for the PMP Exam. Time is running out, but there are still spots open so please visit our website to learn how to register.
Our Breakfast Roundtable team has seasoned program and project manager Candace Riddle discussing Facilitative Leadership for Project Management on October 24th. This session will focus on the tools and techniques to facilitate project stakeholders, manage conflict, and encourage key decisions without any more delays. This is a virtual meeting so be sure to visit our website on how to attend this session.
Later this month, our leadership team will be attending PMI’s Leadership Institute Meeting (LIM) in Chicago, IL. The goal of LIM is to work with and meet leaders from other chapters not only in our region, but in all of North America, sharing ideas and knowledge on how to give back to our members even more.
One last, but important note. I’d like to thank all the volunteers who signed up at last month’s chapter meeting! I not only believe you will find it rewarding, but fun as well. If you didn’t get to sign up, but want to get involved, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or see me at the Chapter meeting at Reid Castle, Manhattanville College.
