Topic:
Beyond the Plan: Leading Projects Through Change

A project can be delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope and still fail to produce the intended organizational results. While project management provides the structure for delivering solutions, change management prepares people to understand, adopt, and sustain them. This presentation explores how project managers can integrate practical change management principles throughout the project lifecycle without assuming the role of a full-time change practitioner.

Speaker:
LJ Finney, CEO, IN-18

LJ Finney, PMP, PCC, is a Prosci-certified change management practitioner, executive coach, and founder of IN‑18, an organizational change and leadership consultancy. She brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology, business, and organizational transformation across financial services, public-sector, healthcare, energy, and nonprofit environments. Her career includes project management and business analysis roles at Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Apollo Global Management. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and combines the structure of project management with expertise in leadership alignment, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, and behavior change. Through IN‑18, LJ helps executives and project leaders align people, priorities, and ways of working during complex transitions. Her work includes change strategy, executive facilitation, leadership development, coaching, strategic retreats, and experiential learning, all designed to move organizations from planning change to successfully adopting and sustaining it.
