The presentation will focus on the relevance of asset management for the Project Management role. In particular, the conversation will cover points to consider beyond the standards themselves.

Len Caputo, Senior Director Asset Performance, NYPA

During his 25+ year career at The New York Power Authority, Len has worked in IT and currently Operations, where he is the Senior Director Asset Performance, managing multiple projects related to Asset Management and Performance.

Len is responsible for NYPA's Asset Performance Program and Enterprise Asset Management System (Maximo). He actively participates in the Northeast Maximo Users Group – NEMUG, Maximo Utility Working Group – MUWG (former Management Committee Member). Institute of Asset Management (IAM) – Former New York Chapter Chair.

He is a graduate of Manhattan College (BS – MBA) and member of Delta Mu Delta – National Honor Society, School of Business and completed the Executive Education Program at Columbia Business School in 2016.

An active participant in Toastmasters International, he received his DTM in 2014; he is a NYPA Mentor and Co-Chair of the NATF Asset Management Group,

Len is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, CMRP, IAM Certificate and Diploma in Asset Management, IAM Fellow, IAM Asset Management Professional and former Outreach Chair for SMRP (Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals).
