Pump up your organizational agility! Take the brakes off your value creation, and drive to the next level of optimization! Remove those hurdles to true Agile Transformation, and really do more with less!
Come to an interactive workshop on the “10 Hidden Hurdles Causing Agile Dysfunction” or otherwise known as “10 Agile Gotchas – 10 Reasons why your organization is not moving forward with Agile”. Professor Patricia Tyre, faculty at New York University and University of Connecticut will present an engaging program for anyone who has started their Agile journey, stalled in their Agile journey or anyone who is planning to implement Agile this year.
This presentation will cover the range of topics starting with how Manufacturing Concepts have been adopted by Marketing and IT groups, to where and when Agile should be applied (or not), then she will highlight the Top 10 Agile Gotchas (hurdles) that most companies face in their Agile Transformation efforts based on the recent feedback of a global benchmarking survey on the Global Adoption of Agile Values, Principles, Practices and Tools, sponsored by the University of Connecticut.
This is a program not to be missed. Even if your only motivation is curiosity and your organization can’t spell Agile, you will find this program interesting. Professor Tyre is making participation in the benchmarking study available for all PMI Westchester attendees with the formal results to be released in mid-2018.
Patricia (Pat) Tyre is a highly-regarded Agile transformation practitioner, presently on the faculty at both the Graduate School of Business for the University of Connecticut’s Business Analytics and Project Management program, as well as an Agile for Innovation and Software Design professor in New York University’s Masters in Project Management department. As a twice-certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, she has spent the past 20 years deploying large Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in manufacturing, health care, pharma and financial services industries, and encompassing all functions within IT.
In 2016, Pat was commissioned by a Fortune 100 global bank’s credit card division to lean out its Pricing, MIS Reporting and Analytics group and build out its Big Data infrastructure. By integrating Agile techniques, she was able to efficiently deliver functionality for the project in just 20% of the designated timeframe, while using only four (4) percent of the allotted budget.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Patricia is CEO and Co-Founder of diVRsity, LLC , which creates Virtual Reality games for corporate training in Leadership, Sales Training and Customer Service. Pat is PMP and Scrum Master certified.
