Message From the President - September 2026

We hope you had a wonderful summer and found time to recharge, reconnect, and enjoy the season!

As we head into fall, we are excited to return with new Chapter initiatives, professional development opportunities, member recognition, and resources to support you throughout the months ahead.

Introducing PMIW LENS

This fall, PMI Westchester is introducing PMIW LENS. PMIW LENS is designed to help us stay closer to what project professionals are experiencing now and turn those insights into relevant programming and opportunities.

L — Listen: to employers, members, and our professional community
E — Examine: job-market trends, skills needs, and other evidence
N — Notice: emerging themes from conferences, PMI research, and the profession
S — Shape: intentional programming based on what we learn

We will use those insights, along with several of PMI's M.O.R.E. principles, to help enhance programming across our portfolio.

We would also love to hear from you. If you are interested in speaking, sharing your expertise, or simply suggesting a topic you would like to see covered, e-mail President@pmiwestchester.org.

More Value, More Ways to Connect

We know these are challenging times and that the cost of just about everything has gone up. We want PMI Westchester programming to remain accessible while continuing to deliver meaningful professional development and opportunities to connect.

That is why we have reduced the registration price for our September Chapter Meeting to:

PMIW and Partner Chapter Members: $10
Non-Members: $20

We are also partnering with PMI Upstate NY to offer reciprocal pricing to their events. These partnerships give our members access to even more learning and networking opportunities beyond our own Chapter calendar.

When you see a partner chapter event that interests you, be sure to e-mail us for a discount code!

Q2 2026 Volunteer Recognition: Scott Morrison

We are pleased to recognize Scott Morrison as the Q2 Volunteer for his contributions to PMI Westchester.

Scott serves as Program Manager for PMIW's Breakfast Roundtable (BR), where he has effortlessly led programming that brings meaningful value to our members. His thoughtful leadership has helped make the BR an important and engaging part of our Chapter programming.

Scott brings more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before retiring, he served as VP, Information Systems Prescription Medicines for Boehringer Ingelheim, leading its Global IS Prescription Medicine group. Previously, he held leadership roles at Pfizer, including VP of Global Business Technology for Japan/Asia and Latin America.

His commitment to service extends beyond PMI Westchester. Scott has also served as Board Chair of United Way of Westchester and Putnam and as a Board Member of 2-1-1 New York.

Thank you, Scott, for your leadership, service, and continued contributions to our members.
