The PMI Westchester Chapter is a volunteer-run organization. If there are positions for which we currently need volunteers, they are listed in the table below. To volunteer contact us at Volunteer@pmiwestchester.org.

The Chapter is always interested in ideas for new programs and people to run them. To suggest a new chapter program that you would like to pilot contact Peter Roggemann, Chapter President, President@pmiwestchester.org.

Board directors and program managers can often use help in the form of committee volunteers. If you would like to get involved with an existing chapter program visit the Contacts page, contact the owner of the program, and offer to help.

In addition to the satisfaction you receive by participating in programs and lending your support to your local PMI Chapter, you will be able to earn PDU's as a volunteer.

Position Reports to Objective
Volunteer Committee Coordinator (2)

VP of Administration

Assist the Volunteer Committee in recruiting volunteers, centralizing volunteer information, conducting surveys, and ensuring volunteer needs/participation for Chapter events. Serve as a point of contact for new volunteers. Support Volunteer appreciation efforts and attend bi-weekly or monthly meetings. Hours may vary based on the event. Anticipated 5-6 hours a month.
Program Manager - Collaboration Tools

VP of Administration

Set up and manage PMI Westchester's collaboration tools. Centrally maintain all chapter documents and artifacts, utilize change management practices. Provide support to members as needed on utilizing the space. Approximately 2-4 hours a week during the maintenance phase.
Monthly Chapter Meeting MCs

VP Programs

MC a monthly meeting as scheduled; prepare for the presentation including speaker bio, go over the slides prior to the rehearsal, and communicate any discrepancies or inconsistencies to the VP Programs; participate in the rehearsal on a Monday prior to the monthly meeting and deliver the presentation on the day of the meeting. This position involves up to 2h of work, including a rehearsal before the event, for each meeting. One person is appointed for one monthly meeting.
Marketing Program Manager - C&PD

VP of Career and Professional Development

Support professional development programs in communication and marketing aspects, working on promoting the Symposium and educational courses; develop content for social media, email blasts, and PMIW website; the expected workload is 2h a week.
Marketing Program Coordinator

VP of Career and Professional Development

Provide marketing support for Chapter opportunities and events. Includes providing information on what the Chapter can do for its members within the community, managing the Chapter image on Social Media, and posting testimonials on our speakers on their LinkedIn profiles. 2-4 hours a week.
Lunch & Learn Program Manager

Lunch & Learn Committee

Manage signups, follow-up email, Update PMIW listing with information about monthly meetings, including speaker, description, date, etc. Prepare the speaker for the meeting. Host and manage monthly Lunch & Learn meetings. Maintain Google docs process and procedure documentation. Find speakers for monthly Lunch & Learn Coordinator meetings. Time: 2-3 hours per month.
Content Editor - Programs

VP Programs

To maintain the programs part of the PMIW website, make all information on programs current and collaborate with the Communications team to ensure all the required functionalities are in place and working. This position involves 3 - 4h of work monthly. The appointment is for one year or longer if wanted.
Committee Member (Elections)

Nominating Committee

Work with the Election Committee to help run the elections. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sending out election emails, recruiting and assisting in vetting candidates, working with PMI to send out the ballot. Workload approximately 2-4 hours leading up to the election.
Breakfast Roundtable Committee Program Manager (2)

Find speakers for monthly Breakfast Round Table meetings. Update PMIW BRT listing with information about monthly meetings, including speaker, description, date, etc. Prepare the speaker for the meeting. Host and manage monthly Breakfast Round Table meetings. Maintain Google docs process and procedure documentation. Workload 2-3 hours per month.
